2017 World Championship is on!

The 25th Men’s Handball World Championship has been officially opened this Wednesday, January 11th with a kick-off between the home team, France, and Brazil.
The tournament which is expected to be at one of the highest World Championship levels so far is already followed by the enormous amount of popularity among the handball fans all around the world. France is already on its feet, the excitement is flowing all around the streets which have been waiting these days to finally become the centre of handball once again in the amazing story that connects the French with handball.
The organizers say they are expecting 431.000 spectators in the eighth venues hosting the competition from 11th to 29th January. Some of the matches, just as it was the case with the opening spectacle, are already sold out, which brings the great satisfaction among the Organising Committee.
The media team works just as hard to make this Championship a hardly forgetable event. The tournament can be followed through the official website, social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Flickr), on the TV and numerous of other media outlets that will be covering the 2017 World Championship.
To make it additionally enjoyable for the spectators visiting some of the cities, the hosts have set up entertainment villages to provide them the opportunity to hang out both before and after the matches. There are workshops, shooting ranges, digital walls, photo areas etc. There are even more fan zones set up in each one of the host cities.
