Another spectacular event in Final 4, this time painted in French colours!

It was another major day in French handball history, as the first three teams in the end are French. New champions are the sensational Montpellier, Nantes finished second and PSG defeated Vardar to come third. The reigning champions did not succees in defending the title.

The atmosphere was amazing in Cologne! Lanxess Arena saw some amazing handball, probably the best we have seen this year. It all started with two massive surprises, as Dumoulin, Lazarov and Tournat absolutely shocked the PSG fans with their performance to reach the final. Montpellier then beat Vardar, in a nerve-wrecking finish for everyone that was there. The final was also spectacular, and the fans were with their teams throughout the whole 60 minutes, and also after the match.

The flags, the jerseys and everything else helped the Lanxess Arena to be painted in all kinds of colours every day. Those colours changed so quickly from match to match. Just like on the court, the fans were playing their own match, with the goal being making more noise than your rivals. It definitely helped the players, who thrived in the atmosphere. We cannot wait for next year, to see which new heroes will the EHFCL Final 4 give us in 2019!
