Welcome November!

We are welcoming one more month of the SEHA – Gazprom League. October was full of excitement, transfers and records so let’s make a short throwback!

After the interview with Lapajne at the end of the month, we also talked with the new goalkeeper of Vardar, Dejan Milosavljev and Sime Ivic, young talent from Meshkov Brest. If you still didn’t read it, check it out on our official web site!

Zeleznicar took first ever points in the SEHA – Gazprom League in the match against Izvidjac 30:21. On the other side, NEXE were defeated for the first time this season by Tatran Presov in front of the Slovakian fans. Vardar ended their 31-match long streak without a regional league loss when PPD Zagreb defeated them in Zagreb 26:23.

Some of the new players joined our League and we saw some transfers, too. Vardar signed a two-year contract with a Germany’s national player Christian Dissinger. A new goalkeeper Radivoje Ristanovic joined PPD Zagreb. Pavle Banduka left Zeleznicar and went to Partizan Belgrade, but Zeleznicar got stronger signing Dobrivoje Markovic, Serbian left wing. Big changes happened with Metalurg: Aleksandar Spende, Ribeiro Goncalo and Miha Pucik joined the team which is a big thing for this Macedonian club, but Halil Jaganjac left them and joined Nexe.

We got some records and milestones this month, too! Dainis Kristopans from Vardar and Zlatko Horvat from PPD Zagreb became the first ever players with 600 goals in SEHA – Gazprom League. Jakub Hrstka reached 400 goals and Martin Serafimov equalised a record held by Momir Ilic and netted 9 goals from 7-meter line in a one match.

We chose the best 7 of the month, remember? Here they are: goalkeeper Urh Kastelic, left winger Milos Grozdanic, left back Stevan Sretenovic, centre back Janus Lapajne, right back Bruno Butorac, right winger Ante Tokic, pivot Marin Sipic and head coach Lino Cervar. Also, you picked Bruno Butorac as the MVP of the month.

We went a step further and launched SEHA – Gazprom League mobile application which you can download on Google Play and App Store. It features a variety of content, ranging from most up-to date detailed handball statistics to lots of pictures and videos. It enables you to keep track of everything there is to know about your favourite team, exclusive interviews, highlights, best goals and saves and much more.
