„It is always a buzz to play in an arena in front of full house. I think that it is not only us and the opponent team’s players who know the fans of Veszprém and experince the atmosphere but it is known as top category in the field of handball across Europe. Not just the team but our fans too, so we always count on their encouragement. In my opinion, these fanatic supporters that we have in Veszprém, prepare for all the matches with the same enthusiasm and toughness as we do. Also, the relationship between the fans and the team is intimate. We always try to do our best to serve them and thank them for the 60-minute or even longer cheering and as I see this love is mutual because they have been by our side through foul and fair. When the team hits the bottom we strive to come out of it and it is easier with their help. Unambiguously, my favourite “rhyme” is the Hungarian national anthem, that is sung at the end of our Champions League games. It speaks for itself and I don’t think it is necessary to go into details about it. The other thing is that lots of people accompany us abroad despite the current economic situation, no expenses spared they travel to Zagreb, Celje, Germany, France or wherever the team plays. They are very fanatic and without them this team would not be able to perform at the same level.
I ask them to go on with this incredible incentive. They have lifted the roof so far and I hope they will be with the team in the future, too. In gratitude, we will try to play well and win.”
