Knowing that the best four clubs in the SEHA league have all managed to reach Last phase of EHF’ Championship League is saying a lot about it’s quality. SEHA is a very young, five years old tournament, but has a great transition role to every young player from his Premier League to Champions League. Stronger opponents, higher game level and tough tempo are all making a visible progress in the game of each individual.
This month produced several new SEHA stars in the well known SEHA Gazprom PRESS team ‘Best 7’ picks. Two players that showed great consistency, Timur Dibirov (Vardar) and Andreas Nilsson (MVM Veszprem) were chosen for the best players on their positions, both in February and March. One name has been back in Veszprem’s rooster lately and that name is Momir Ilić who will give his team a further boost in the finals. Although during the season PPD Zagreb had some severe problems with injuries, the last month of the season brought them pleasant outcome. It is most visible with their players domination in the ‘Best 7’ pick with Domagoj Pavlović, Luka Šebetić and Ivan Stevanović (PPD Zagreb) earning their place in the company of the greatest. Even the coach of PPD Zagreb Veselin Vujović was voted as the best and replaced Sergey Bebeshko from that place.
