Dear handball friends,

Another exciting season of handball is upon us. SEHA- Gazprom League is entering its 7th season and as we say every year, we hope that this one will be the best one yet!

There is a lot of news you should be excited about. Two new Serbian teams have joined us this season- HC Vojvodina from Novi Sad and HC Dinamo from Pancevo. Therefore, we want to welcome all of our new handball fans who are joining us for another thrilling season.

Everything is set to start on the 30th of August in Slovakia, where the hosts Tatran Presov play against the Belurusian side Meshkov Brest. Meshkov will hope to build upon their last season’s 3rd place. The very same day we have two more national derbies. At 7:00 PM the five-time reigning champions of Serbia- Vojvodina are hosting their well known opponents Dinamo Pančevo. It’s going to be interesting to see just how the two new teams had prepared themselves for a new challenge. Gorenje Velenje will meet their Slovenian rivals Celje Pivovarna Lasko at 8:45 PM. Gorenje Velenje’s Red Hall is undoubtedly going to witness a terrific match, but their fans will be hoping for a win that could prove to be extremely important for a Final 4 spot.

On the 31th of August, the 2013 SEHA- Gazprom League champions- PPD Zagreb await their fellow Croatian side-Nexe. Both teams are entering the season with a couple of interesting changes in their squad, we can’t wait for them to finally match up! The first round is then capped off on the 2nd of September when the Macedonian clash is in the store for us; Metalurg Skopje is playing against the last-season European, SEHA League and Macedonian champions- Vardar!

Of course, we look forward to a lot of events, not just SEHA- Gazprom League! Six SEHA teams are participating in the Champions League. Of course, the most exciting journey lays ahead of Vardar, since they are the defending champions. Other five teams; PPD Zagreb, Celje, Gorenje Velenje, Metalurg Skopje and Meshkov Brest, are also here to give you the best fan experience possible.

Just when you thought the season couldn’t get any better, we are here to remind you that the 2018 European Championship is hosted by Croatia. From the 12th until the 28th of January, the whole handball world is going to be focused on the four hosts cities (Zagreb, Split, Porec and Varazdin) and the electrifying matches played in those four cities.

Hold tight, get ready, this is going to be another spectacular season!
