#be8player project

The ‘Be the 8th player’ project was launched in 2015 by the SEHA League, with the aim of connecting handball fans all over the globe in one place. The main goal of the project is to create a community through which handball would see more people following the sports, visiting the matches and experiencing amazing handball moments.

Throughout the years, plenty of activations have been done as a part of the project. The most memorable ones are the Best Handball Fan Contests, where fans had a chance to win an all-inclusive SEHA Final 4 tickets and enjoy the best handball actions of clubs participating in the events. Additionally, interesting and engaging content is offered on digital platforms, a range of giveaways is organized on social media, and fans have been entertained in the #be8player fan corners at the SEHA Final 4 tournaments.

The supporters play an important role in each sport and in the success journey of each club and national team. Friendship and togetherness at the stands, as well as sporting spirit and zero tolerance on violence make handball a truly great sport. Therefore, handball lovers and fans deserve a platform dedicated to them, the ‘Be 8th player platform’.

Fans can engage with interesting and up-to-date handball content here, on the official website of the project, as well as on Facebook and Instagram profiles, where they can directly get in touch with the handball community.
